Department-wide Responsibilities

The Finance & Human Resource pathway consists of team members who are responsible for the management and improvement of the operations by measuring and reporting regularly on key numbers crucial to the success of the organization. Team members work with managers to prepare the organization’s budgets and forecasts, and to report back on the progress against these throughout the year. Team members research, analyze and implement information that is used to plan staffing levels, asset purchases and expansions and cash needs, before they become necessary. The team provides pertinent information to assist managers in making key strategic decisions, Team members handle many necessary functions of the company. Team members are instrumental in providing labor law compliance, record keeping, hiring and training, compensation, relational assistance and help with handling specific performance issues

Responsibilities In Your Role

  Support and coordinate with a team responsible for servicing a book of company sponsored retirement plans.

  Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and accurate processing of client inquiries, invoicing/billing, accounting, and payments.

  Responsible for driving Accounts Receivable Call Campaigns to increase client collection of payments,

  Communicate (both in verbal and written form) with clients, vendors, and banking contacts.

  Support Human Resources and Finance administration.

  Compile data for analysis, billings, and reports using spreadsheets and other reporting software/applications.

  Maintain working knowledge of general office practices.

  Establish and maintain effective service focused relationships with co-workers, referral partners and clients.

  Provide administrative support regarding company retirement plan, wellness programs, volunteering and other benefits and employee related programs.

  Supports other departments to fulfill reporting and compliance requirements.

  Create financial transactions and financial reports, posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. 

  Responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable and maintaining ledgers.

  Compile metrics for reporting, tracking, and team presentations.

  Provide support in the research and development of the Finance and Human Resources department in pursuit of company goals.

  Provide support for company events, company goals and other initiatives surrounding company culture and company mission and values.

  Responsible for driving the processes of applicant tracking.

  Responsible for driving processes for new team member onboarding.

  Responsible for driving processes for team member exiting.

  Responsible for collaborating with Operations to process incoming mail and distribute outgoing materials.

Qualifications

  Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 5 years related experience is preferred.
  Experience in retirement plan, investment or banking industries is preferred.
  Superb communication skills and a commitment to superior customer service.
  Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, proficient with numbers and basic calculations.
  Solutions oriented and ability to handle changing and competing responsibilities.
  Strong command of technology including Quickbooks, and ability to learn new software solutions easily and quickly.
  Proficiency is required with Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
  Works well with a team, including other team members who work remotely/virtually.
  Creative participation and forward-looking contribution to team activities and company progress.
  A demonstrated record of accomplishment of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations.
  Possesses a preference for proactivity, avoids workplace distractions, and drives performance targets to completion.
  Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  Possesses strong innate ability to switch gears between finance and human resource tasks as needed.
